Thoroughbred Wrestling Academy is an elite wrestling academy, which has been serving the greater St. Louis area for the past 4+ years. As our numbers and influence continue to grow year after year, we are presented new and exciting opportunities to impact the lives of more and more wrestlers. 

As we head into the ’19-’20 wrestling season, we have looked around and met with many coaches to discuss ways we can branch out to expand our reach and, in turn, provide more opportunities for wrestlers across the state. We looked at other locations around the state where the population of wrestling families could support an elite level youth club. Kansas City is a Missouri Hot-Bed for elite wrestling, with many Division 1 All-Americans growing up in the area. We feel the area is rich with students who have what it takes to reach those lofty goals of All-American and National Champion honors, which is why we are so excited about expanding our program to the area. 

Of course, to implement our program, we would need a qualified individual who has been exposed to high levels of success. Someone with tremendous leadership capabilities as well as a deep understanding of technical wrestling knowledge. For those reasons, we chose to bring on former Mizzou Tiger, Dane Espinosa. Coach Dane was a 4-time state medalist, two-time finalist, and a state champion for Neosho High School from ’02-’06. Espinosa will head up the TWA-Blue Springs location and will have the help and support of TWA-Maryland Heights Head coach, Marcus Hoehn, with running the program.

• 6:00-7:30p
• Session 1: November 5 – December 26, 2019
• Session 2: January 2 – MOUSA State Tournament
• 10 years through 8th grade
