Kids FUNdamentals of Freestyle (Ages 5–9)

Our FUNdamentals of Freestyle class is designed for young athletes ages 5–9 who are ready to learn the basics of Freestyle wrestling in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment. Over the course of 8 weeks, wrestlers will be introduced to the 7 core techniques emphasized by USA Wrestling:
Week 1 ➡️ Stance
Week 2 ➡️ Movement
Week 3 ➡️ Elevation
Week 4 ➡️ Penetration
Week 5 ➡️ Lift
Week 6 ➡️ Back Step
Week 7 ➡️ Back Arch
Week 8 ➡️ Review & Games; Class Photo
Each week focuses on one of these foundational movements through drills, games, and skill-building activities that keep kids active, learning, and having fun. The final class will be putting it all together and have a good time celebrating how much they have learned. This class builds coordination, balance, body control, and confidence—setting the stage for long-term success in wrestling and other sports.
No experience necessary—just a good attitude and a willingness to learn!
